The roots of
manufacturing Halawa and Tahini dates back to the year 1926,
where the first factory for manufacturing traditional
confectioneries in their typical style was setup in Amman city
by the late Haj “Reslan Al Kasih. In the year 1949, he
improved his factory by switching it to operate using electric
power. He then named it “ Reslan Al Kasih & Sons Company”
which was well known for producing Halawah and Tahini. The
factory was so famous to the extent that the whole industry
was coupled with the name of Al Kasih.

In order to guarantee supplying
of such distinguished products to the Jordanian as well as
Arabian consumers that they are used to consume during the
past seventy years based on top quality and suitable prices,
Mr. Adnan Al Kasih setup a new plant by the end of 1997 for
manufacturing of Tahini, Halawa, and hulled sesame. He named
it “Kasih Factories Group for Foodstuff” (KFG). Mr. Al kasih
made his long experience, which dates back to the year 1958
available at the service of this group.
The assets of the new plant
amounted to more than US $ 3 Million. The machinery and
equipment for this plant were imported from Arabian as well as
from European countries.
It is worth to say that our
plant is a unique one in the region as regarding of using
modern technology in manufacturing Halawa , Tahini & Hulled
sesame with fully automated production lines without being
touched by hands.

KFG takes the
pride regarding the safety of food product manufactured at its
plants. Food safety is on the top of priorities and conditions
that should be met in food produce. To achieve this goal, KFG
utilizes all the available scientific and technological
capabilities that can be reached.
Since everyone reaps what he
has sown. We were elected as pioneers in the field of
manufacturing Halawa & Tahini by the federation of chambers of
industry in Jordan in the year 1998. The ceremony was under
the patronage of His Majesty King Hussien and we were awarded
the shield of pioneers in this regard.

More than 70
years of steady continuous growth, coupled with innovation and
Quality in the company's approach to production, sales, and
services have made out of KFG a leader in the Tahini, Halawa &
Hulled sesame processing in Jordan. It has been growing,
diversifying and developing to provide its customers with
products and services, which fulfill the highest standards of
Quality.
Our expansion
has also spread to many countries; the famous taste kasih
products have reached USA, Canada, Romania, Gulf States.
KFG proved
its capabilities to manufacture excellent Quality products in
several and International trade fairs. Among those fairs is
our participation in the Anuga Fair, Germany.
KFG
managerial and technical team has been undergoing continuous
training and program updating in order to provide the consumer
with excellent Quality products. Seminars and training
lectures within and outside the company have increased
tremendously. As the company began to expand and diversify
further to seize growth opportunities, new departments with
qualified employees were created to support and develop the
full potential of this widening network:
A complete computerized system was installed. Since
then, a continuous improvement in hardware and software use
has been undergoing.
A complete Quality Control and Research &
Development department has been introduced. Its personnel has
been constantly trained and updated on the latest technology
to meet the highest Quality.
With the sales expansion and the presence of fierce
competition at the local and international level, a Marketing
and Sales Department has been created to fulfill customer
needs and guarantee satisfaction all over the world.
KFG
is planning its future confidently by conducting research and
initiating development programs in order to meet the
challenges of modern technologies in the food-processing
field. Our success relies mainly in Quality,
Diversification, Expansion, and Market Leadership.
In our
diversification strategy, we offer to our customers a wide
variety of products and including fancy choices and others

Only the
finest sesame seeds make our final selection and are fit to be
processed under the KFG label. We insure that their freshness
and nutritional value are sealed in. As a result, the name
Kasih Factories Group (KFG) has become synonymous of Quality,
great taste, nutritional value and product variety.
A team of
experienced staff monitors every step of the production
process to insure a continuous and regular control on Product
Quality.
Steps
include: raw material inspecting, handling, storing,
processing, packaging, control of Quality, marketing,
forwarding, and delivering.
In addition
to the success of KFG in the Jordanian market, the name KFG
became well known in the Arab and International markets for

Strategies of Export
Marketing and selling our
products to the foreign countries is not ruled anymore by the
old traditional techniques. Nowadays, it is more directed
towards the new and specified needs of the consumers of the
third millinium. Our main goal is to target the wider segment
of the consumers of the foreign countries and not only the
ethnic groups. This is done by cooperating with well
established companies who have channels of distribution that
cover all the different kinds and levels of customers and all
levels of retailers and supermarkets. We hope such plicy will
allow us again to reach our main goal, which is non-ethnic
export market.
